Biergarten $0.01 Pitchers

7/2011: UPDATE: Check out Biergarten’s new Happy Hour menu here. Available Mon – Fri, 5-8PM. The pitcher promo is now available only on Sundays with purchase of entree.

/

Pretty rare that we find awesome deals that are offered on Friday nights. And yet, here is an AMAZING deal that is offered both Thursday and Friday:

Biergarten

When: Thurs-Fri 5-8pm

Deal: $0.01 Pitchers of PBR or Hite, with Purchase of Entree

Photo from Biergarten FB Page

Why on earth they even bother with the penny is beyond us, really they might as well just say FREE. But, either way its CHEAP and a good way to relinquish some of that change sitting in the ash tray of your car.

Biergarten also offers a happy hour Sunday – Wednesday (5pm- 8pm), not quite the 1cent pitchers, but it is 50% off pitchers, wines and hot sake. Can shake a stick at that.

Now regarding the food: we’ve heard mixed reviews. A German-Korean restaurant? I just don’t know how those two work together. But in all honesty, I don’t care if the food is good. They offer next-to-free beer – that is all that matters.

A One Night Only Happy Hour

Happy hour only one night out of the week? Madness.

 $3 wine? Ok, we’re in.

Red Seven, located at the Pacific Design Center, holds happy hour every Thursday night (yes, JUST on Thursday), from 5-8pm.  So head there tonight to get some of the cheapest Wolfgang Puck eats you will find.  For those of you that work at the PDC or in the area, you have probably checked out Red Seven for lunch, since that’s pretty much only when it’s open.  But Thursdays give you a chance to grab a drink and some bites after work.  And although we wish it were nightly, we are happy that it lasts til 8pm.

Here is a peek at the happy hour menu, the prices are so wallet friendly that we will probably order 1 of everything.  Seriously, $2-$4 food, $4 cocktails and $3 wine? LOVE.

  • Edamame $2
  • Garlic Fries $2
  • Sweet Potato Fries $3
  • Baby Back Ribs $4
  • Half Spicy Tuna Roll $4
  • Happy Hour Cocktails (including an appletini and margarita) $4
  •  Select Beer & Wine $3

Tuesdays @ Five0Four Hollywood

What’s better than a $5 Beer? Well, probably lots of things. But what’s better than a $5 Beer WITH a shot? For boozers like us, probably not much. Add a smoke into this $5 deal and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a short, but fun, life!

Every Tuesday, from 8pm – 2am Five0Four offers a $5 Beer+Shot+Smoke combo.

Not fans of smoking (like us!)? You can swap out that cancer stick for a condom instead! Just be careful, beer goggles + free condoms could be a regrettable combo.

.

Love the deal, but want to start your boozing/smoking/banging before 8pm? Show up for Five0Four’s own Happy Hour that lasts til 8pm (i.e. right up until the Tuesday $5 Beer+Shot+Smoke deal starts… i.e. no break in cheap drinks!)

Five0Four Happy Hour: ‘Drinkin with Lincoln’

Mon – Fri, 3pm – 8pm

$5 Drinks (Daiquiris, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, & Wells)

$5 Foods (1/2 Chicken or Po’Boys, Beer Bites, Sweet Potater-tots, Dirty Fries, Hot Wings, & Cajun Fries)

This is probably the only happy hour we’re aware of with Cajun style food, and we’re already eager to try it. Plus, you really can’t beat anything with a Lincoln theme, right?!?!?! (Friends, you may start your K+Lincoln jokes now.)

.

Alcohol, TVs, & Outdoor Patio. Must Be Heaven.

On top of all this cheap boozy awesomeness, Five0Four has other great weekday events & deals as well:

Mondays: 80s night, dress up and get a free drink!

Wednesdays: SIN Night, Reverse Happy Hour 8pm – 12am

Thursdays: $1 test tube shots all night long, 8pm – 2am

Sundays: Live Jazz Music 6pm – 9pm

.

Wow, that’s a lot of days with a lot of hours of cheap booze. AND there’s an outdoor patio. Love it.

Free Tacos at The Little Cave

Best way to keep that perfect buzz, while still drinking all night? Eat something.

The Little Cave in Highland Park definitely gets this concept & wants you to booze with them all night long tonight while you sate yourself with FREE tacos. The free tacos are available starting at 9pm – midnight, and on Thursdays this tiny bar also offers $3 Blue Moon and $5 Jaeger Bombs – so you could get drunk and fat for under $20 tonight!

Can’t make it for tonight’s taco fest? The Little Cave has some great other daily deals shown on their website:

* Tuesday: Totally 80s Tuesday: 80s Music, 80s Movies, & Drink Specials

* Wednesday: Well Wednesdays: $5 Well Drinks

* Thursday: Free Tacos 9pm – Midnight, $3 Blue Moon, $5 Jaeger Bombs

* Friday & Saturday: Summer Happy Hour, 8:30pm – 10:30pm, $3 import drafts, $5 wells

.

This place is a total dive – which we love. It’s also pretty small & plays some pretty eclectic music (i.e. 80s, rockabilly, etc…) – but all of this just adds to the awesome atmosphere. And again – the tacos are free, the booze is cheap, and in the end that’s all we really need for a great night.

Our New Favorite Thursday Happy Hour

.**

***4/2011: Deal No Longer Available, Though Plans are Apparently in the Works for Some New Deals so Stay Tuned for More Info, and Cross Your Fingers That Whatever They Come Up with is as Good as This One Was!!***

.

When evaluating a happy hour deal we like to look for the following:

1. Great Deals on Drinks (i.e. ability to get drunk on the cheap)

2. Great Deals on Food (i.e. ability to get fat on the cheap)

3. Great Atmosphere (i.e. willingness to tolerate our loud boisterous drunken friends)

.

Basically – on Thursday nights the Checkers Downtown has all of these things.

Every Thursday, from 4-8pm Checkers Downtown features FOUR: a special happy hour that features a menu of food and drink items for just $4/ea. (For some reason the below flyer mentions food items at $4-$6 but they were all just $4 at our visit).

We had some time to kill before an event downtown last Thursday so we found it the perfect opportunity to try out FOUR for ourselves. The menu from our visit can be seen here.
