Bottomless Mimosa Guide: The 3rd Corner

We have a amazing friend getting hitched this weekend in Del Mar, so we wanted to share a great spot to get boozy brunch down in her neck of the woods. Plus, this place doubles as a wine shop – so you can grab a bottle for the road for later Sunday-Funday drinking debauchery.

Bottomless Mimosa Guide (San Diego): Flavor Del Mar

2014 Update: CLOSED

Since we will be trekking to San Diego this Memorial Day Weekend to celebrate K’s wedding (YAY!), thought we would switch it up and throw in a San Diego brunching spot – just in case any of you are planning on heading down south for the long weekend (and I don’t mean wedding crashers)!  With beautiful ocean views and free flowing bubbly, I may have to convince the wedding party to hit up this brunch post-wedding festivities too (assuming we can wake up at a reasonable hour).

The Spot: Flavor Del Mar (San Diego)

Brunching Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 11am-2pm

Bottomless Deal: $15 Bottomless Mimosas

Menu Highlights: I’m always a sucker for some huevos rancheros, and for anyone with a sweet tooth, the brioche french toast with blueberry jam sounds delicious! For those of you who lean towards the lunching side of brunch – try the trio of beef sliders or the miso glazed pork belly sammie – YUM!

Bottomless Mimosa Guide – San Diego: Brigantine

In honor of our little getaway to San Diego this weekend to celebrate K’s engagement, I thought we’d bring you another out of town mimosa tip.  Even though San Diego is barely a few hours out of LA, any time we’re out of LA it counts as a vacay and we feel the need to booze excessively.  And, when I stumbled upon this mimosa spot, I had to put it on our weekend to-do list.

The Brigantine is located in Del Mar, not too far from the ocean, with a large patio overlooking the Del Mar racetrack.  They have a great happy hour, a prix fixe dinner special and an oyster bar – this place definitely earns the Finer Things LA seal of approval, especially when it comes to brunchtime boozing.  Brunch runs every Sunday from 10:30am-2:30pm.  They’re known for their seafood but honestly everything on the menu sounds pretty good: coconut macadamia french toast, smoked salmon eggs bennie, the Del Mar breakfast burrito.

And, here’s the only thing we really care about: $3 bubbly.  Unlimited.  Yes.  Free-flowing, all-you-can-drink champagne for just $3!!  That even beats out our favorite cheap champagne spot, Overland Cafe.

So, next time you head down south to the whale’s vagina, make sure to stop in here on your way back to LA for brunch – and maybe some drunk betting at the race tracks? Sounds like a winning (or losing, depending on your betting skills) combo!

Bottomless Mimosa Guide: Terra

2014 Update: No longer offering bottomless. Now you get 3-free-mimosas per brunch entree order.

Since it’s a long holiday weekend (the last of them til Thanksgiving….isn’t that sad??), it was only appropriate to make this week’s bottomless post another installment of our weekend getaway mimosa guide.  And just in case you are planning on staying in LA, be sure to check out our botttomless mimosa link up above as a guide to all the places we’ve featured in past posts.

This week’s destination is San Diego and the place is Terra.  Terra is located in the Hillcrest area of SD, about ten minutes away from downtown, and is a cute spot with an outdoor patio, perfect to enjoy the sunshine this weekend.

Mimosa brunch at Terra runs every Sunday from 10a-2p, and bottomless bubbles are just $3! The entrees are well prices as well, between $10-$15, and the menu has your brunch favorites (omelets & scrambles, breakfast burrito, french toast, chocolate and peanut butter pancakes) and some more lunch-ier options as well ( burger, lobster blt, sea bass,  turkey and avocado sandwich).

With no work on Monday, there is really no excuse not to drink like a champion at brunch this Sunday so wherever your destination, check out our mimosa picks and enjoy the long weekend!
