Mother’s Day is just a week away, have you made plans to spoil your Mommy yet?

(Keep hitting our list back up as we’ll continue to update it up until the big day)

  • Circa 55 at the Beverly Hilton, 11am – 4pm. $81/pp ($30 for kiddos under 12). Brunch includes free flowing Prosecco and is served Poolside. No details on the menu yet but their typical Sunday spread includes a bunch of really delightful sounding salads (channeling my mom in that description), lobster rolls, pan seared salmon, hanger steak, breakfast favorites, and an over-the-top dessert assortment.
  • Mr. C Beverly Hills, 11am – 4pm. $115/pp ($49 for kiddos 4-12) + $30 for Bottomless Mimosas. Whether or not you spring the extra cash for the bottomless bubbly, Mom will get a free Bellini to start her meal + some free treatments from the GlamSquad. Once buzzed and pampered,  you can go attack the buffet, featuring pastas, antipasto, made to order waffles and omelets, fresh seafood, carving stations with roast beef and turkey, and a ton of desserts. (Luckily elastic waist bands and joggers are in right now, so you can still be chic AND comfortable after gorging yourself.)
  • The Peninsula Beverly Hills, 11:00am – 8:00pm. $135/pp. ($68 for kiddos). Adult price includes free flowing Nicholas Feuillatte Champagne (that’s the good shit.) This meal is served family style, and includes fancy things the The Crawley family would undoubtedly serve at one of their smashing dinner parties –  Cornish Game Hen, Crab Croquettes, Braised Veel, and Cherry Blossom Tarlets. (Yeah, we’re still missing Downton Abbey…)
  • The Royce in Pasadena, 11am – 3pm. $92/pp ($40 for kiddos 4-12). Adult price includes free flowing mimosas + bloody marys. No details on the menu yet, but (as always) they are advertising ‘elaborate displays’ of fresh food items.

  • The Eclectic in North Hollywood, 11am – 3pm. $27 Brunch, includes any entree + bottomless mimosas, champagne or sangria.
  • Stella Barra Pizza in Santa Monica, 11am – 4pm. Ala Carte Menu with items ranging from $10-$15 + $12 Bottomless Mimosas. We’re thinking go splitsies on some Breakfast Pizzas, get buzzed on some mimosas, and then wander over to the beach and wow your mom with your Sandle Castle-making skills. She always loved that shit when you were a kid.

Mother’s Day Brunch 2012

Chew on this: your mommy went booze free for 9+ months to birth you. NINE MONTHS of sobriety! Could you survive such hell? Probably not. So, don’t you think you owe her? Don’t you think its time you made it up to her with some delicious food and tons of breakfast booze in a classed up setting? The answer to all of this is: Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch.

If you still need a reservation for Sunday, here are some options to help ya out:

.

Border Grill (Downtown & Santa Monica): Starting at 11am, $34 ‘unlimited small plates’ brunch. Taste the rainbow of breakfast options at Border Grill as you work your way through each and every small-plate on the menu. Featured items include shrimp+grits, a frittata tart, Chilaquiles, Yucatan Eggs Benny, and Churro Tots. For those visiting the downtown location: you can score FREE bottomless mimosas for your mommy with brunch if you mention downtownla.com (if you want to join mommy in her boozin, you’ll have to fork over some extra cash.

Engine Co. No. 28 (Downtown): 11am – 3pm, $45 brunch + $10 bottomless mimosas & bottomless bloody marys.

Grand Cafe at The Omni Hotel (Downtown): 10am – 3pm, $45 brunch buffet with a selection of breakfast foods as well as more hearty options (i.e. big slabs of meat carved straight from the source.) PssT: You can score free bottomless mimosas too if you mention downtownla.com

Chaya (Downtown, Beverly Hills, Venice): 11am – 3pm, $42 three-course brunch. All three LA locations are offering this deal, which also includes bottomless bubbly & mimosas. No menu posted online yet, but since its from Chaya we’re sure it will be yummy.

Vermont (Los Feliz): All you can eat brunch buffet for $25, bottomless mimosas for $16. Pretty patio spot if the weather is nice.

.

Public Kitchen (Hollywood): 10am – 3pm, $38 brunch buffet. The flyer mentions an oyster bar, charcuterie station, carving station, omelet station, and waffle bar. They also mention a bloody mary bar, which makes us curious – might those be bottomless bloodies? Or are they going to tack on an additional fee for those cocktails? We were too lazy to confirm the details on this one, so if someone wants to clarify the vague and potentially misleading flyer – by all means please do.

Berri’s Cafe (Mid City): Starting at 9am, $29 mimosa brunch buffet. The menu isn’t the most extensive (just 13 items) but the price is cheap and the dishes still sound delectable (red velvet pancakes are calling our names!)

Blu Jam Cafe (Mid City – Melrose): Standard breakfast menu and hours, but with a little perk for mommy: free bubbly & dessert bites.

Della Terra (Mid City): standard menu, standard bottomless mimosa deal. Pretty patio, good food, great option without all the price-premium and fuss.

Asia de Cuba (West Hollywood): 11am – 4pm, $42 prix fixe brunch with bottomless breakfast cocktails. The booze selection includes mimosas, mojitos (love it!) and bloody marys. The food story will be pastries to start, your choice of entree from the brunch menu, and a selection of desserts to finish it off on a sweet note.

Dominick’s (West Hollywood): No fancy buffet or special menu here, just the standard delicious breakfast entrees. Oh, and the lovely perk of  $12 bottles of bubbly.

.

Caulfield’s (Beverly Hills): $60 3-course brunch with unlimited blood orange mimosas. Brunch starts off with a smoked salmon toast point, moves into your choice of entree (pancakes, steak and eggs, salmon, french toast or eggs benny), then finishes off with your choice of key lime pie or flourless chocolate cake. Plus a special gift for your mom: homemade caramels.

K-ZO (Culver City): Noon – 4pm, special happy hour menu + $10 bottomless mimosas. Not your standard brunch, but some cheap sushi & bottomless bubbly for $10 will certainly make many moms happy.

Park Grille (Century City): 11am – 3pm,  $65 buffet brunch with $15 bottomless breakfast cocktails (mimosas, bellinis, and bloodies.) The buffet is pretty extensive, with tables for breakfast foods, brunch selections, an egg and omelet bar, a raw bar, a carving staiton and a dessert station as well as a little kiddie station with grilled cheese and chicken tenders.  This spot is inside the intercontinental hotel.

Napa Valley Grill (Westwood): 10am – 3pm, $49 buffet brunch with $12 bottomless mimosas. Brunch sounds like the standard fare, with an omelet station and meat carving area plus some fresh seasonal bonus items like a spring grilled veggie salad, a seafood display, gazpacho soup, grilled salmon, and wild mushroom agnolotti. It all sounds yummy.

The Glendon (Westwood): Free bottomless mimosas for mommy during brunch (and you can get them for yourself too for some extra moolah with their standard brunch deal.) Deal via OpenTable.com.

Wilshire Restaurant (Santa Monica): 11:30am – 3pm, $65 brunch buffet with open bar. You’ll start with a buffet-style selection of salads, appetizers, and pastries. 1440 Bistro (El Segundo): 10:30am – 2:30pm, $34 champagne brunch. Includes a buffet of salads, meats, cheeses, breakfast items, seafood, and desserts. And bubbly of course. (Note: this spot is inside the embassy suites hotel.)

.

The list will continue to grow over the week, so stay tuned for updates!

Mother’s Day Bubbly Brunches!

In honor of Mother’s day the Friday feature today will be geared towards Mother’s Day mimosa brunches – some bottomless and some with mimosa specials. My mom isn’t anywhere near as boozy as me so mimosas are pretty much out of the question for me on Sunday, in fact one time my mom had a glass of champagne at a graduation event and felt dizzy after only drinking half.  It is pretty apparent I inherited most of my father’s genes and I hope when I’m a mom my kids know well enough to take me to a bottomless brunch. So, if your mom does enjoy a cocktail every now and then or even more often than that – then definitely check out some of these spots for Sunday. I’m too lazy today to check to see if any of these are already over booked so good luck trying to get reservations.

West Hollywood/Hollywood/Beverly Hills:

-Whisper Lounge: Whisper lounge is at the Grove so you can tackle 2 birds with one stone and take mom out shopping (or take yourself out shopping with mom’s credit card) after getting her liquored up on mimosas.  Whisper Lounge has a 2-course jazz brunch for $22.95/person from 11a-3p featuring a complimentary glass of bubbly for your mom! (323) 931.0202

The Foundry: 3-course brunch for $39/person + free glass of champagne (and a rose! The flower, not rose wine as I first thought when reading about the deal). (323) 651.0915.

-The Belvedere: Swanky option at the Peninsula Hotel, brunch will put you out $105/person but includes bottomless bubbly and a 3-course meal.  The spot to go to if you have (a) been an awful child lately and need to redeem yourself or (b) if you are looking for some extra brownie points or (c) if your mom has an obsession with the Real Housewives of OC (or any other city for that matter). (310) 551.2888.

-The London: Another swanky pick, Gordon Ramsey’s digs at the London will have a brunch for $85/person with free flowing bubbly, baked goods, cheese plates, made to order omlettes, French toast, salads and even a sushi bar!  (310) 358.7788
