Bottomless Mimosa Guide: Caulfield’s

Spring = Spring Break = Tons of tourists in LA lazily meandering Rodeo Drive and blocking the intersections while you try to get to work/spin/dinner. We’d like to help solve this problem:

If you have friends/family visiting LA and they need to pick a hotel, tell them to stay at SIXTYBeverlyHills. On top of it being a cool hotel with a great rooftop pool, right in the center of Pretty-Woman-land, the restaurant downstairs (Caulfield’s) serves bottomless mimosas AND bloody marys all weekend. No walking required. They can just go downstairs and get boozy…. With you, hopefully.

Bottomless Mimosa Guide: Sunny Spot

We were so hung over when we arrived here.

Saturday had been a  day-long booze-fest at the Rennie Pleasure Faire, so by Sunday the thought of alcohol was just painful. But alas, it was a good friend’s birthday, and so we sacked it up and headed to Sunny Spot for a boozy birthday brunch.

Fast forward to one hour, and countless mimosas later, and we’d totally forgotten about those pesky headaches and had thoroughly acclimated to our bright and colorful surroundings. So the music was a little loud, and the crowd a bit cooler than us, but the waitress rocked our socks off with her refill speed and perky demeanor.

Fast forward to three hours later (yes, they let us continue searching for the bottom of our glasses for this long!), and the music seemed just the right decibel and we were in love. Sunny Spot – you have won our brunching hearts. (And that ropa vieja? errrr-my-gerrrrrrrd, so good.)

Boozy Brunch Hours: Sat & Sun, 9:30am – 4pm

Bottomless Mimosa Deal: $15 Bottomless Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Sunny Rum Punch (and yes, you can mix and match!)

Menu Highlights: the aforementioned Ropa Vieja is outstanding. We also tried the hangover plate and mofongo & eggs, which were both pretty good. But if we go back, its going to be for that saucy spicy pork.

Bottomless Mimosa Guide: Citizen Smith

Well, well, here we are again….Friday. This Friday is especially great because for most of us, it’s the start of a 3-day weekend, which means there is no excuse not to get wasted on bottomless mimosas on Sunday.

This week’s pick: Citizen Smith in Hollywood. On Sundays, Citizen Smith has an organic (something healthy to offset the copious amounts of booze you will intake) farmer’s market brunch from 11:30am – 3pm, with bottomless mimosas, bloody marys and bellinis (yum!) for an additional $10 w/ purchase of entree. (If you don’t wanna eat & just wanna booze: the bottomless deal is $15/pp)

Their brunch menu is the standard fare: eggs benedict, three cheese omelet, molten waffle with strawberries.  But who really cares about the food, this is about the bubbly and we all know that.

So……check it out this weekend or head to any of our other bottomless picks and enjoy the long weekend! And also good to know, Citizen Smith has other great specials during the week including half off food on Mondays and half off wine on Tuesdays.
